Healthy Eating
School Meals
When your child has a school meal, you can rest assured they are eating a healthy nutritious meal, cooked from scratch, which will fill them up for the rest of the school day. Meat and Vegetarian options are available daily.
Dietary menus are also available for children with specific dietary requirements (please contact the school office and update the Arbor Parent app if your child has any special dietary requirements).
School dinners are provided to all Foundation and KS1 (Yr 1 & 2) children. In KS2 (Yr 3-6), If you would like your child to have a school dinner, they must state this when their Class Teacher takes the register in the morning. Key Stage 2 children who are not eligible to income based free school meals will be charged at £2.95 per day. Payments for school dinners can be made on your Arbor Parent app.
Our school meals menu is rotated every three weeks and payments (£2.95) for school meals are to be made via the Arbor Parent app. Please check the ‘week commencing’ dates at the top of each menu to see what the menu is this week:
Fruit and Milk
Fresh fruit is available for all the children in Foundation and KS1. Fresh drinking water is available for all the children, throughout the day. Milk is free to all children under the age of 5 years old or if your Child is eligible to income based free school meals. Free School Meals
We handle all Free School Meals (FSM) applications directly through a secure online platform called Online Free School Meals (OFSM).
We kindly ask all legal guardians (individual applications per parent / carer) to complete a new FSM application using the OFSM system—even if your child already receives Free School Meals, universal free school meals or you don’t currently qualify. This won’t affect any child’s current entitlement. It’s simply to help us keep our records up to date and ensure we don’t miss any changes in eligibility.
